A semester long exploration of the Latin language with a special emphasis also on Ancient Roman culture, history, and stories. The class will cover the early basics of reading and translating Latin. We will look at Latin verbs and nouns, sentence structure, vocabulary, but our focus in all these topics will be making this ancient language as fun and engaging as possible through games and interactive activities. Each week, students will look at a new language concept and also learn about a new aspect of Roman history or culture. The goal of the class is to bring to life what is often thought of as a boring, dead language. Designed for students with no Latin experience, but students with some experience also welcome! If you would like to enroll or have further questions, please contact Lauren Palmer at firstname.lastname@example.org. Runs for 3 months, $230/student.
